Edit a Product
Overview
You can edit and update existing "Product" master data.
Purpose
The primary purpose of the product editing function is to appropriately update the existing "Product" master and centrally manage the original product information on DEXTRE.
By editing language-specific information such as product names and descriptions, as well as prices by Transaction Term (Trade Terms) x Currency, and reference masters including Category, Tax, Description of Goods, and Metadata, you maintain the consistency of product information and ensure that stakeholders always refer to the same information.
At the same time, by performing updates based on pre-defined input items and reference masters, it suppresses variations in judgment and input content among staff, aiming for standardized operations and the prevention of individualization.

Important Notes
Model Number Requires a Unique String
The Model Number must be a unique string that does not duplicate other products.
If the same Model Number exists, the update will fail, so please confirm that there are no duplicates in the existing product list before updating.
SKU Template Cannot Be Changed
The SKU Template is finalized at the time of product creation and cannot be changed during product editing.
Therefore, what can be added or excluded during editing is limited to SKU Properties within the range defined in the SKU Template.
If it was not created with the intended SKU Template, it cannot be fixed in product editing, so it is necessary to re-create the product.
Establish Operational Rules for Adding SKU Property Values
In SKU variation specification, you can add SKU Property Values on the spot.
Immediate master addition is flexible, but notation variations and duplicates easily occur, requiring consolidation work later. We recommend establishing naming conventions and approval flows for color names, size names, etc., and selecting them after consolidating them into a common master.
