Create a Product Option

Overview

Create options for product attributes and define choices that can be selected for each SKU when creating or editing products.

Purpose

The primary purpose is to standardize judgments and inputs during product registration and operation by creating a master of optional selection elements associated with products as "Options" and centrally managing choices that are not included in the SKU.

Since choices can be defined independently of SKU composition and inventory management, it establishes a state where flexible choices according to product characteristics can be stably provided without excessively complicating the product configuration.

Additionally, by managing additional prices for each option in units of transaction condition and currency combinations, option definitions and price information can be understood without separation, contributing to the reduction of operational load related to price management.

Feature Description

About Options

An option is a feature to define selection elements associated with a product that are managed without being included in the SKU composition.

While a SKU is fixedly defined as a "unit for inventory management and product identification," options are intended to provide multiple choices for the same SKU, and you can select which choice to apply at the time of order.

As a typical example, in the business of glasses or sunglasses, there is an operation where SKUs are defined by "frame color and size," and lens types or processing details are prepared as options to provide choices without increasing the number of SKUs.

Registration of Option Prices

For options, you can register a price to be added for each choice.

  • If the price is registered as 0, it does not affect the order amount.
  • Prices are registered for each combination of Transaction Term and Currency, similar to products.

For prices registered in options, you can choose whether to apply Wholesale Rate/Discount Rate or not.

Status After Creation

When an option is created, it is created with the Available status and becomes available for use when creating or editing products.
