Edit a Product Option
Overview
You can edit created "Option" master definitions.
Purpose
The edit function for Options is used to centrally manage product choices (Options) that are not included in the SKU composition or Inventory management on the Merchant App. By updating the definitions of Option variants and prices, you can keep the information referenced during Product creation and editing up to date.
Additionally, by managing Option definitions as a master and unifying the update method (Active/Archived), it leads to standardized operations and prevents dependence on specific individuals.
Feature Description
What is an Option?
An Option is a function to define selection elements associated with a Product that are managed without being included in the SKU composition.
While a SKU is fixedly defined as a "unit for inventory management and product identification," an Option is intended to provide multiple choices for the same SKU, and you can select which choice to apply at the time of Order.
A typical example is in the eyewear or sunglasses business, where the SKU is defined by "frame Color and Size," and by providing lens types or processing details as Options, you can offer choices without increasing the number of SKUs.
Registration of Option Price
You can register an additional Price for each Option variant.
- If the Price is registered as
0, it will not affect the Order amount. - Similar to Products, Prices are registered for each combination of Transaction Term and Currency.
For the Price registered in the Option, you can choose whether or not to apply wholesale rate / discount rates.
