Edit a SKU Property

Overview​

You can update the content of the SKU attribute master by editing a created SKU Property.

Purpose​

The SKU Property editing function is used to modify or expand the content of an SKU attribute master that is already created and in operation.

It aims to keep the SKU composition in a state that reflects the actual situation by responding to changes such as the following that occur during the product operation process:

  • Changing the SKU Property Name or display name
  • Adding or modifying SKU Property Values
  • Reviewing display names for forms and PDF output
  • Adjusting the display order on the product creation and editing screens

By editing an existing SKU Property, you can continuously maintain the SKU composition linked to products in operation without having to create a new one.

What is a SKU Property?​

A SKU Property is an attribute master for defining attributes (e.g., Color) that compose a SKU within "Product" management.

Relationship between SKU Property and SKU Property Value​

A SKU Property consists of a relationship between an attribute and options through the "SKU Property" and "SKU Property Value."

Example:

  • SKU Property: Color
  • SKU Property Value: Black / White

Use in Product Creation/Editing​

By registering SKU Properties and SKU Property Values, you can assign attribute information (e.g., Black / White) when creating or editing a product to represent the product's composition and variations.

Instructions​

Move to the SKU Property Editing Screen​

  1. Click the Products menu.
  2. Click Product Attributes.
    It transitions to the "Product Attribute Settings" page.
  3. Click the SKU Properties tab.
  4. Click the Edit button for the SKU Property you want to edit.
    It transitions to the "Edit a SKU Property" page.

How to Fill Out the Form​

The input forms for each language will display the languages enabled in Core Preferences.

How to Input SKU Property Information​

Edit the SKU Property as necessary.

  1. SKU Property Code
    Edit the code of the SKU Property managed on the system. (Used for bulk imports, etc.)

    The SKU Property Code cannot be duplicated with the codes of other existing SKU Properties.
    If there is a duplicate SKU Property Code, an error will occur during editing.

  2. SKU Property Name
    Input the display name used on screens displayed to buyers, and on forms such as orders and delivery notes, for each language.

    If the Copy checkbox is enabled, the text will be copied from the primary language.

  3. Printing SKU Property Name
    Separately from the SKU Property Name, you can input the display name for various PDF outputs.
    If you want to input a Printing SKU Property Name, uncheck Copy From SKU Property Name and input it for each language.

    If the Copy checkbox is enabled, the text will be copied from the primary language.

How to Input SKU Property Value Information​

Edit the SKU Property Value as necessary.
(SKU Property Value is not a required input item)

Input the following items for the SKU Property Value:

  1. SKU Property Value Code
    Set an arbitrary string. This serves as an identifier on the system.

    The SKU Property Value Code cannot be duplicated within the same SKU Property.
    If there is a duplicate SKU Property Value Code, an error will be displayed on the input form.

  2. Color Chip
    When checked, a color sample set for the SKU symbol part will be displayed on the product detail page.
    It can be set using RGB, HSL, or HEX.

  3. Display Name
    Input the display name used on screens displayed to buyers, and on forms such as orders and delivery notes, for each language.

    If the Copy checkbox is enabled, the text will be copied from the primary language.

  4. Copy Printing Display Name from Display Name
    If you do not want to separately set a Printing Display Name for PDFs, etc., you can copy it from the Display Name by checking this.
    If you want to set a Printing Display Name individually, uncheck it.

  5. Printing Display Name
    Separately from the Display Name, you can set the display name for various PDF outputs for each language.

    If the Copy checkbox is enabled, the text will be copied from the primary language.

Add a SKU Property Value​

By clicking Add a SKU Property Value, you can add one input form for a SKU Property Value.
Click and add as many as you want to register.

Sort SKU Property Values​

You can change the display order shown on the product creation and editing screens by using drag-and-drop.

Update/Save as Draft SKU Property​

After inputting each item in the form, click the Update button or the Save as Draft button.

  • Update: Updates the SKU Property in an Active status. It can then be applied to SKU Templates.
  • Save as Draft:
    The button is displayed when the SKU Property being edited is in Draft status.
    Saves the SKU Property as a Draft status. It cannot be applied to SKU Templates.

Important Notes​

SKU Property Code and SKU Property Value Code Cannot Be Duplicated​

SKU Property Codes and SKU Property Value Codes cannot be duplicated. An error will occur if a duplicate code is generated.

  • The SKU Property Code cannot be duplicated with the codes of other existing SKU Properties.
  • The SKU Property Value Code cannot be duplicated within the same SKU Property.
