Custom Product Data Export (Excel)

Overview

You can export and download product data in Excel (.xlsx) format using a custom export template.

Purpose

The purpose of this feature is to export product data in Excel (.xlsx), and extract only the necessary items for business use and analysis.

In addition, since data export templates suited to the purpose can be reused, it helps reduce the man-hours for repetitive data extraction work and helps with standardization of export formats and preventing person-dependent processes.

What you can do with custom data export of product data

This feature handles the following two operations as one feature.

  1. Create a Product Data Export template
  2. Export product data

Product Data Export Template

Product Data Export templates allow you to customize and define items to be exported to an Excel file, the order of columns, column names, empty columns, and default values for empty columns.

Product Data Export templates are designed to be reused, so you create them once if a template suited to the purpose does not exist.

Product Data Export templates can be created for each SKU template.

Extraction Granularity

There are two types of extraction granularity for Product Data Export templates, as follows.

Extraction GranularityDescription
StandardOutputs product data registered at the product level and SKU level.
Product Data OnlyOutputs only product data registered at the product level.

Instructions

1. Create a Product Data Export template

Navigate to the template creation page

  1. Click the Data Export menu.
  2. Click the Product tab.
  3. Click the Templates tab.
  4. Click Create a Template.
    You will be redirected to the "Create a new product data export template" page.

First Step - Basic template settings

On the "First Step" page, enter the following items.

  1. Template Name
    Enter the name of the data export template.

  2. Extraction Granularity
    Select the Extraction Granularity from the following two options in the dropdown.

    • Standard: Outputs product data registered at the product level and SKU level.
    • Product Data Only: Outputs only product data registered at the product level.
  3. Languages
    Check the languages to be exported.

  4. Currencies
    Check the currencies to be exported.

  5. Transaction Terms
    Check the price conditions to be exported.

  6. SKU Template
    Select a SKU Template from the dropdown.

  7. Number of Category Groups
    Enter the maximum number of category groups that can be registered for a product.

    Enter a number that matches the product with the most category groups registered.

  8. Number of Materials
    Enter the maximum number of items that can be registered for materials such as outer fabric, lining, and separate fabric.

    Enter a number that matches the product with the most materials registered.

  9. Selectable Export Columns
    Check the items to be exported.

    Export items are exported to the Excel file in the order they were selected.
    For example, the first export item is exported to column A in the Excel file.

    Each export item can be reordered by drag and drop.

  10. Add Blank Column
    To export an empty column, click Add Blank Column. You can change the order by drag and drop.

After entering each item in the form, click the Next button.
You will be redirected to the "Second Step" page.

Second Step - Custom settings for column names and default cell values

On the "Second Step" page, you can define the column names and default cell values on the Excel file.

  1. Custom Column Name
    You can customize the column name for the first row (header row) of the Excel file.

  2. Default Cell Value
    This can only be entered for Blank Column.

    You can define the default value that is automatically entered into the cell of the corresponding column when exporting the Excel file.

After entering each item in the form, click the Next button.
You will be redirected to the "Preview" page.

Create a data export template

Check the preview content and click the Create button.
The Product Data Export template will be created.

Created Product Data Export templates can be edited or deleted at any time.

2. Export product data

It is necessary to create a data export template in advance.
Once the Product Data Export template is ready, export the product data using the following steps.

Navigate to the product data export page

  1. Click the Data Export menu.
  2. Click the Product tab.
  3. Click the Data Export tab.
    *This is opened by default.

Form input method

Enter the following items.

  1. Data Export Template
    Select the template for data export in the dropdown.

  2. Filter Type
    Select the filter type.
    You can select Products Filter or Product Creation Date in the dropdown.

  3. Date Output Format
    Select the date export format from the dropdown.

When Products Filter is selected

Check the products to be exported.

  • Multiple products can be selected.
  • You can narrow down products by entering conditions in Search Products.
  • To select all products that match the search criteria, click Select All.
  • To uncheck all items, click Remove All Selections.

When Product Creation Date is selected

Specify the period for the products to be exported based on the creation date.

  • Specify From (Start Date) to To (End Date).
  • You can select from the calendar.

Download product data

When the item input is complete, click the Download button.
The product data Excel file (.xlsx) will be downloaded.

Important Notes

Products with SKU templates not defined in the Product Data Export template cannot be exported

It is not possible to export products with SKU templates that are not defined in the Product Data Export template.

Items that cannot be defined in the Product Data Export template are currently not supported as an export feature
