Bulk Import SKU Properties (Excel)

Overview​

This feature allows you to add or update SKU Properties and SKU Property Values in bulk by importing them in XLSX format.

Purpose​

Bulk Import SKU Properties is used to reduce the workload of performing individual operations on the screen by allowing you to add or update SKU Properties and SKU Property Values all at once.

Additionally, by unifying input rules into an XLSX file, it can be used to standardize SKU Property operations, prevent dependency on specific individuals, and achieve centralized management of SKU Property information.

Feature Description​

What is an SKU Property​

In Product Management, an SKU Property is an attribute master used to define the attributes (e.g., Color) that compose an SKU.

When you create an SKU Property, it is registered as an attribute master referenced by products.

Relationship between SKU Properties and SKU Property Values​

An SKU Property consists of a relationship between an attribute and its choices, formed by the SKU Property and its SKU Property Values.

Example:

  • SKU Property: Color
  • SKU Property Values: Black / White

Use in Product Creation/Editing​

By registering SKU Properties and SKU Property Values, you can assign attribute information (e.g., Black / White) when creating or editing a product to represent the product's composition and variations.

Determination of Update Existing vs. Create New​

Bulk Import SKU Properties supports both updating existing items and adding new ones.
During import, the system determines whether to add a new item or update an existing one based on whether the code in each row exists.

  • If the SKU Property Code exists: Updates the existing SKU Property.
  • If the SKU Property Code does not exist: Creates a new SKU Property.
  • If the SKU Property Value Code exists within the same SKU Property: Updates the existing SKU Property Value.
  • If the SKU Property Value Code does not exist within the same SKU Property: Adds a new SKU Property Value.

Instructions​

Perform the bulk import of SKU Properties using the following steps.

  1. Download the XLSX File for Bulk SKU Property Import
  2. Input Data into the XLSX File for Bulk SKU Property Import
  3. Import the Completed XLSX File for Bulk SKU Property Import

1. Download the XLSX File for Bulk SKU Property Import​

Navigate to the Bulk SKU Property Import screen​

  1. Click the Products menu.
  2. Click Product Attributes.
    You will be redirected to the "Product Attribute Settings" page.
  3. Click the SKU Properties tab.
  4. Click Bulk Import SKU Properties.
    The "Bulk Import SKU Properties" modal opens.

Execute the Download​

Click Download XLSX File.
The "XLSX file for bulk SKU property import" will be downloaded.

2. Input Data into the XLSX File for Bulk SKU Property Import​

Open the downloaded "XLSX file for bulk SKU property import" and fill in each item.

Description of Input Items​

Refer to the following to enter data for Create New or Update Existing of SKU Properties.

Do not rewrite the column names.
Rewriting column names will cause import errors.

  • SKUプロパティコード
    Enter any string. This serves as the identifier in the system.

    • Update Existing: Enter the existing SKU Property Code.
    • Create New: Enter an SKU Property Code that does not duplicate any existing SKU Property.

  • SKUプロパティ名
    Enter the display name for the SKU Property for each language.

  • 印字用のSKUプロパティ名
    Separately from the SKU Property Name, you can set a display name for use when outputting various PDFs.

  • SKUプロパティバリューコード
    Enter any string. This serves as the identifier in the system.

    • Update Existing: Enter the existing SKU Property Value Code.
    • Create New: Enter an SKU Property Value Code that is unique within the same SKU Property.

  • SKUプロパティバリュー名
    Enter the display name for the SKU Property Value for each language.

  • 印字用のSKUプロパティバリュー名
    Separately from the SKU Property Value Name, you can set a display name for use when outputting various PDFs.

  • カラーチップ (#から始まる16進数のカラーコード)
    Enter a hexadecimal color code starting with #. This field can be left blank for import.

About Required Items​

The required items are as follows:

  • SKUプロパティコード
  • SKUプロパティ名(the first column among multiple languages)
  • SKUプロパティバリューコード
  • SKUプロパティバリュー名(the first column among multiple languages)

If the multi-language columns for SKUプロパティ名 or SKUプロパティバリュー名 are blank, they will be supplemented with the value from the first language column.

3. Import the Completed XLSX File for Bulk SKU Property Import​

Import the completed "XLSX file for bulk SKU property import" into DEXTRE using the following steps.

Navigate to the Bulk SKU Property Import screen​

  1. Click the Products menu.
  2. Click Product Attributes.
    You will be redirected to the "Product Attribute Settings" page.
  3. Click the SKU Properties tab.
  4. Click Bulk Import SKU Properties.
    The "Bulk Import SKU Properties" modal opens.

Execute the Bulk Import​

  1. From Select File, select the edited "XLSX file for bulk SKU property import."
  2. Click the Import button.
    If successful, the items will be added or updated according to the file content. If it fails, an error message will be displayed. Correct the file according to the error details.

Important Notes​

XLSX files containing existing masters cannot be downloaded​

XLSX files containing existing masters cannot be downloaded.
If you keep the uploaded XLSX file and operate in a way that avoids updates from the UI, you can perform smooth bulk updates of the existing masters.

However, please note that if you edit or update SKU Properties from the UI, the contents of the stored XLSX file will not reflect those changes.

Be careful of input errors for SKU Property Codes and SKU Property Value Codes​

If the SKU Property Code or SKU Property Value Code is incorrect, it will be unintentionally treated as a new creation. Please enter the intended codes accurately.
