Bulk Import Products (1 Row per Product | Create Only | Excel)
Overview
Using an Excel file (.xlsx), you can perform a Bulk Create Products operation in a 1 Row per Product format.
This feature only supports the Create (new registration) of products.
Purpose
The primary purpose of this feature is to reduce the input workload when registering new Products and SKUs together, enabling product registration tasks to be completed in a short amount of time.
By using the 1-row-per-product input method, the effort required for initial registration is lower compared to SKU-based input (1 row per SKU).
Feature Description
A type of Bulk Product Import feature
This feature is a type of bulk product import function.
The import method uses an Excel file (.xlsx).
A single unit of work for this feature consists of a series of operations: downloading the "Product Data Import XLSX File," entering data, and performing the Import.
The input method is 1 row per product, containing multiple SKU information per row
The input method is 1 Row per Product.
It has a structure that includes multiple SKU information within a single row.
Importing is possible for each individual SKU Template.
Data related to SKU Properties is entered as comma-separated values.
The structure does not hold individual differences for each SKU on a per-row basis.
It is not possible to individually specify different Attribute values for each SKU.
Expansion of SKU data during file import
SKU Properties entered as comma-separated values are expanded into all possible SKU data combinations for each Product (row) before being registered to the corresponding product.
For example, for a product with Model Number model1, if you enter "BLACK,WHITE" for the Color (SKU Property) and "S,M,L" for the Size (SKU Property), SKUs will be expanded into all combinations of SKU Properties and created as follows:
model1_BLACK_Smodel1_BLACK_Mmodel1_BLACK_Lmodel1_WHITE_Smodel1_WHITE_Mmodel1_WHITE_L
SKU-level input items are registered uniformly for all SKUs
SKU-level input items are registered uniformly for all SKUs within the corresponding product.
The SKU-level input items are as follows:
Not eligible for backorderSKU weightPriceReference Retail PriceSKU manufacturing costCustom Attribute (SKU level)
Only supports the new registration of products
This feature only supports the Create (new registration) of products.
- Product data and SKU data are created simultaneously during new registration.
- SKU numbers are auto-generated.
- It does not support updating existing products.
- It does not support registration or updates in an SKU-based (1 row per SKU) format.
