Create an Inventory Adjustment
This page describes procedures for environments using Inventory Management (New Method).
If your screen layout differs from the one shown on this page, refer to the Inventory Management (Conventional Method) manuals.
Overview
This section explains how to create a draft of an inventory adjustment to increase or decrease inventory quantities in Inventory Management (New Method).
Purpose
The feature to create an inventory adjustment is used to centrally manage the increase or decrease of inventory quantities according to reasons such as count difference, damage, expiry, and operational correction.
Since adjustments to increase or decrease the quantity of SKUs with current stock and adjustments to increase the quantity of SKUs without current stock can be created as the same inventory adjustment, you can proceed to review confirmation with the adjustment reason, occurred at, and adjustment target aligned. By organizing the adjustment details as a draft before checking, it becomes easier to prevent target mismatches and missing entries, and you can standardize the procedures of inventory adjustment operations.
Feature Description
Creating a Draft of an Inventory Adjustment
In an inventory adjustment, you create an adjustment draft to increase or decrease inventory quantities.
Adjustments can target both SKUs with current stock and SKUs without current stock.
The final posting procedure for an inventory adjustment is handled in another manual.
Composition of an Inventory Adjustment
An adjustment draft consists of overall adjustment information and adjustment lines.
The overall adjustment information is used to organize the purpose and occurrence timing of the adjustment to be created.
The adjustment lines include the adjustment details for each target SKU to increase or decrease the inventory quantity.
Targets That Can Be Added to Adjustment Lines
To adjustment lines, you can add stock selected from the search results of current stock, or add SKUs without current stock.
When adjusting from current stock, you can only search for SKUs with current stock. In the search results of current stock, you can check the SKU, facility, location, inventory disposition, segment, owners, lot and expiry, on hand, and allocatable quantity.
Lines where a SKU without current stock is added will be set to Increase, quantity 1, and the reason selected in the header as the default state.
Handling of Adjustment Lines
In adjustment lines, adjustments to increase or decrease the inventory quantity are handled for each target SKU.
For lines added from current stock, the selections for line destination, inventory segment, and lot fields maintain the details of the selected current stock.
For lines of SKUs without current stock, you can specify the destination, inventory segment, and lot fields on each line.

Enter the Base Unit Cost in Lines Where the Input Field for Base Unit Cost Is Displayed
For lines where the input field for Base unit cost is displayed on the screen, enter the Base unit cost before creating the draft.
For lines where the input field for Base unit cost is not displayed, check the impact on cost in the confirmation before posting.
Check the Conditions Under Which Adjustment Lines Can Be Split
Add another adjustment line can be executed when the positive integer quantity is 2 or more. When split, it is divided into the original line with the quantity reduced by 1 and a duplicated line with a quantity of 1.
