Archive an Inventory Allocation Rule

Overview​

This operation archives an inventory allocation rule and takes it out of use.

This section explains how to archive allocation rules that are no longer needed in Inventory Management (New Method).

Purpose​

The purpose of archiving an allocation rule is to stop the operation of allocation rules that are no longer needed and to organize the allocation rules currently in use.

By archiving unused allocation rules, you can more easily organize the allocation rules you manage.

What is archiving an inventory allocation rule​

By archiving an allocation rule, you can manage allocation rules that are no longer needed.

Archived allocation rules are not referenced in inventory allocation.

Allocation rule statuses​

Allocation rules have the following statuses.

  • DRAFT: The status immediately after an allocation rule is created. It is not referenced in inventory allocation until it is activated.
  • ACTIVE: The state where the allocation rule is active. It is referenced in inventory allocation.
  • ARCHIVED: The state where the allocation rule is archived. It is not referenced in inventory allocation.

Only allocation rules in ACTIVE status can be archived.

Instructions​

Go to the allocation rule archive screen​

  1. Click Inventory.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Click Allocation rules.
  4. Click the Archive button for the target allocation rule.
    The "Archive allocation rule" modal opens.

Archive an allocation rule​

  1. Review the notes, then click the Archive allocation rule button.

    If the process succeeds, the allocation rule is archived.

Important Notes​

Archive after deleting or deactivating active application condition settings​

If an active application condition setting exists in the allocation rule, the allocation rule cannot be archived. Check in advance if any active application condition settings remain.

If active application conditions exist, delete or deactivate them before archiving the allocation rule.

The archive operation cannot be undone​

Once an allocation rule is archived, it cannot be restored.
