Edit an Inventory Facility

info

This page describes procedures for environments using Inventory Management (New Method).

If your screen layout differs from the one shown on this page, refer to the Inventory Management (Conventional Method) manuals.

Overview

This section explains how to edit an existing facility in Inventory Management (New Method).

Purpose

Use this feature to review existing facility information to match your operations and keep inventory location information in an appropriate state.

By updating facility details such as the display name, time zone, storage conditions, and status as needed, you can keep the location information used in inventory operations aligned with your current operations.

Feature Description

What is a facility?

A facility represents a higher-level unit for inventory location management.

In Inventory Management (New Method), inventory is tracked by linking it to facilities and locations.
Facilities can broadly include warehouses, stores, storage facilities, logistics hubs, regions, sites, and more.

If you want to create a new facility, see Create an Inventory Facility.

Facility statuses

There are two facility statuses: Enabled and Disabled. These statuses determine whether the facility can be used for inventory-related operations.

  • Enabled: The facility can be used for all inventory-related operations.
  • Disabled: The facility cannot be used for any inventory-related operations.

Inventory-related operations refer to inventory operations such as purchase orders, receipts, and transfers, as well as inventory allocations.

The Facilities and locations settings are shared at the maker level, and any changes made are applied to all brands under the same maker.

Reflection in Purchase Orders When Registering or Changing Address and Contact Information

Registering or changing the address and contact information of a facility does not update the Delivery destination on document of purchase orders that have already been created.

The delivery destination information registered for each purchase order remains unchanged.
