Create an Inventory Transfer Order
This page describes procedures for environments using Inventory Management (New Method).
If your screen layout differs from the one shown on this page, refer to the Inventory Management (Conventional Method) manuals.
Overview
This section explains how to create a transfer order as a schedule for transferring inventory to another facility or location in Inventory Management (New Method).
Creating a transfer order does not move inventory quantities.
Purpose
Use transfer order creation to manage scheduled inventory transfers between facilities and locations by linking source stock with a destination.
By creating the schedule as a transfer order in advance, you can review the SKU, source, destination, and quantity as one set of details before proceeding to transfer shipment and transfer receipt. Since each line has its own quantity and destination, you can create the transfer order while organizing the inventory to be transferred.
