Change the Catalog Publication Status

Overview

This feature allows you to change the publication status of created catalogs or delete catalogs.

Purpose

The primary purpose of updating the catalog publication status is to centrally manage the public scope of catalogs according to the situation and adjust information visibility.

Switching to Limited Access for specific buyers or to Closed also helps ensure compliance and control.

Types of publication status

There are three types of catalog publication status.

  1. Open: Published to all buyers.
  2. Limited Access: Published only to buyers who have been granted access.
  3. Closed: Makes the catalog private and restricts all access.

The buttons displayed on the screen change depending on the status.

Catalog deletion feature

In addition to changing the publication status, you can delete catalogs.

Navigating to the catalog publication status setting screen

  1. Click the Catalogs menu.
  2. Click the pencil icon in the status column of any catalog.
    The "Update catalog status" modal opens.

Changing the catalog publication status

To change the public status

Depending on the current status, change the status using the following operations:

  • If the current status is Open:

    • Click Change to Limited Access to change the status to Limited Access.
    • Click Change to Close to change the status to Closed.
  • If the current status is Limited Access:

    • Click Change to Open to change the status to Open.
    • Click Change to Close to change the status to Closed.
  • If the current status is Closed:

    • Click Change to Open to change the status to Open.
    • Click Change to Limited Access to change the status to Limited Access.

Deleting a catalog

In the "Update catalog status" modal, you can delete a catalog by following the steps below.

  1. Enter confirm in the DELETE text box.
    The Delete this catalog button will be enabled.

  2. Click the Delete this catalog button.
    The catalog is deleted.

    *The deletion operation cannot be undone.

Important Notes

Access is possible via link even if the catalog is set to Limited Access

Catalogs linked to Instant Order Links/Dynamic Brand Links can be accessed even if they are Limited if the link is known.

If you also want to restrict access via links, please change the catalog publication status to Closed, or set an expiration date for the link.

Closed catalogs cannot be ordered

Closed catalogs will be in a state where orders cannot be placed.

If you are closing a catalog that is accepting orders, please check the scope of impact before executing the closure.

Catalogs cannot be restored after deletion

When a catalog is deleted, it is permanently deleted. There is no way to restore it.

Please complete the confirmation and output of necessary data before deletion.

Publication status of special catalogs cannot be changed

The publication status of special catalogs with the SPECIAL label, such as catalogs related to partner inventory, cannot be changed.
