Delete Overridden Product Data in a Catalog

Overview

Explains the procedure for deleting catalog-specific overridden data applied to products in the catalog and restoring them to comply with the product master.

Purpose

The primary purpose is to centralize information management by aligning the state of product data in the catalog with the product master.

By removing unnecessary override definitions, you maintain a state where changes on the master side are correctly reflected in the catalog, reducing inconsistencies caused by mistakes or erroneous operations.

Feature Description

Deleting Overridden Data

This feature discards "catalog-specific override definitions (unique data such as price, delivery date, SKU composition, etc.)" applied to products in the catalog.

When overridden data is deleted, the data for that product returns to a state that complies with the product master.

For information on how to create overridden data, please check Bulk Import Catalog-specific Product Data Overrides (Excel).

Instructions

Navigating to the Catalog Details Screen

  1. Click the Catalogs menu.
Transitions to the "Catalog Management" page.

  2. Click the Detail button of the target catalog.
Transitions to the "Catalog Details" page.

If necessary, you can also filter catalogs by entering criteria in the Filter Catalogs.

Important Notes

Restoring to Master Compliance

The operation to delete overridden data is not a feature to remove products from the catalog, but a feature to release override data set for products in the catalog.

Products will remain in the catalog after the operation, and the product data will return to a state that complies with the product master.

Deleted Data Cannot Be Restored

Deleted overridden data cannot be restored.

To return to the same state again, please re-register the overridden data via Excel import.
