Delete Catalog Media Assets

Overview

This section explains the steps for deleting a media asset folder associated with a catalog and the precautions to take during deletion.

Purpose

The main purpose is to centralize the media information displayed in the catalog and keep the management targets clear by deleting unnecessary media assets.

In addition, by not leaving behind unused media assets, you can maintain data consistency from the perspective of compliance and control.

Feature Description

Nature of deletion

The deletion of a media asset folder is reflected immediately.

Once the delete operation is executed, the action cannot be undone, and the data cannot be restored.

Target of deletion

The targets for deletion are the media asset folders displayed in the media asset management of the catalog details screen.

Deletion is performed on a folder-by-folder basis.

Instructions

Moving to the media asset deletion screen

  1. Click the Catalogs menu.
  2. Click the Detail button for the catalog from which you want to delete the media asset folder.
    The system transitions to the "Catalog Details" page.
  3. Click Media Asset Management.
    The system transitions to the "Media Asset Management" page.
  4. Click Delete Media Asset Folder.
    The "Delete the Media Asset" modal opens.

Deleting media assets

After confirming the contents, click the Delete button.

If the process is successful, the target media asset folder will be deleted.

Important Notes

Deletion cannot be undone

Once the delete operation is executed, the action cannot be undone.

All files within the media asset folder (images, videos, PDF, zip, etc.) will be deleted, and the data cannot be restored.

Always confirm that the content to be deleted is correct before executing the deletion.

Impact on display for buyers

The deleted media asset folder will also immediately be hidden from the catalog screen viewed by the buyer.

If there is a possibility that a buyer has downloaded files or is referencing them through shared links, consider notifying the buyer in advance.
