Download a Catalog PDF
Overview
Explains how to download a Catalog PDF based on a pre-registered "Catalog PDF Template".
Purpose
The primary purpose of downloading a Catalog PDF is to output Product information as a PDF for printing and distribution, leading to information utilization, analysis, and sales contribution.
Using fixed templates allows you to repeatedly output Catalog PDFs with the same layout, helping to reduce manual work and save time.
Feature Description
Output Unit
The output unit of the PDF is the combination of a "Catalog PDF Template" and a "Catalog".
Various settings specified at the time of download will be reflected in the output result.
Settings Specified During Download
When downloading, you specify settings such as catalog selection, language, currency, transaction terms, and PDF product output group.
The available choices for the following items are determined by the Core Preferences.
- Languages: Select from languages enabled in the Core Preferences.
- Selectable Currencies: Select from currencies enabled in the Core Preferences.
- Selectable Transaction Terms: Select from transaction terms enabled in the Core Preferences.
PDF Product Output Group Settings
In the PDF Product Output Group Settings, you can specify a base item to group products and output the PDF by splitting pages for each group.
The following specifications are possible:
- No Group Display: Does not perform page splitting by group.
- Model Number: Splits pages by model number.
This group item is intended for use when there is a large number of symbol SKU expansions per product. - Category Level 1: Splits pages by the first-level category (Category Level 1) registered to the product.
If a product belongs to multiple categories, the first one in the registration order will be used as the base. - Custom Attribute: Splits pages by the "value" registered to the product for the specified Custom Attribute.
Each group is displayed in ascending order of value. Custom attributes at the SKU level are not applicable.

Important Notes
Product Data Registration when Grouping by Custom Attribute
When grouping by Custom Attribute, pay attention to the data registration status in the Product Master.
Since the system groups by the "value" of the Custom Attribute, inconsistencies in registered data across products may cause groups to split unintentionally.
Example:
- Extra whitespace characters are included
- Inconsistency between uppercase and lowercase letters
Troubleshooting
Text on the PDF Is Cut Off
Depending on the combination of the Catalog PDF Template layout, display properties, and the amount of information in the product data, text may overflow from the output area on the PDF.
It is necessary to review the settings of the Catalog PDF Template or register a unique "Notes for Catalog PDF" in the Product Master and use it as a display property in the template.
Image Height or Width Is Not Aligned Neatly
The image sizes registered for the products may not be uniform.
The recommended aspect ratio is 2:3 (portrait) or 3:2 (landscape).
