Edit a Brand

Overview

This section explains how to edit and update the basic information and visuals, such as images, of an existing brand.

Purpose

The brand editing feature is used to update the basic information and display information of an existing brand according to the operational status.

It allows you to keep the brand information displayed to buyers up to date.

Feature Description

Brand management unit

A brand is a unit for managing product data, buyer data, order data, and more on the DEXTRE maker app.

Each data belongs to only one brand.

Editable information

When editing a brand, you can update the following information.

  • Basics
    • Brand Name
    • Brand Description
    • Buyer-facing display settings
  • Media
    • Logo Image
    • Image (main visual)
    • Video

Required fields and input rules per language

Brand Name and Brand Description are required fields.

Enter both for each enabled language.

The languages to set are determined by the maker's core preferences.

Image specifications

There are the following restrictions on the image data used for the brand.

Uploaded images are automatically cropped to a fixed aspect ratio.

Common to Logo Image and Image (main visual)

  • Maximum uploadable file size: within 3MB
  • Recommended file size: within 300KB
  • Uploadable extensions: jpeg, png, webp, gif

Logo Image

  • Aspect ratio: 300px × 300px (automatically cropped within a 1:1 frame)
  • Display location: WEB catalog, brand selection in the cart of the buyer app, and Catalog PDF

Image (main visual)

  • Aspect ratio: 1920px × 768px (automatically cropped within a 5:2 frame)
  • Display location: Main visual on the brand top page (top), and brand selection screen in the buyer app

Video specifications

You can add videos in the following two ways.

  • Video link (embeddable URL)
  • Video file (direct upload)

Display location: Videos on the brand top page.

Instructions

Navigating to the brand editing screen

  1. Click Maker Settings > Open Maker Settings.
  2. Click Brand.
  3. Click the Edit button for the brand you want to edit.
    The "Brand Editing" page opens.

How to fill out the form

Edit the input fields as needed.

Edit Basic

  1. Brand Name
    Enter the brand name for each enabled language.

    • If you select the Copy checkbox, the content in the default language is copied.
  2. Brand Description
    Enter the description for the brand for each enabled language.

    • There is no character limit.
    • If you select the Copy checkbox, the text in the default language is copied.
  3. Buyer-facing display settings
    Set whether to display the brand's country to buyers using the toggle button.

    • Enable: Display brand country
    • Disable: Do not display brand country

Edit Images

  1. Logo Image
    Click the Select an Image button and select the image to use for the logo.

  2. Image
    Click the Select an Image button and select the image to use for the main visual on the brand top page, etc.

Edit Video link (embeddable URL)

  1. Click the Add video link button to add one video link input field.

  2. Enter the embeddable URL of the video in Video URL.

    Example (YouTube): https://www.youtube.com/embed/xxxxxxxx

    • You can remove unnecessary video links by clicking the trash can icon.

Edit Video file (direct upload)

  1. Click the Add video file button to select the video to upload.
    You can also add it by drag and drop.

    • You can remove unnecessary videos by clicking the trash can icon.

Update brand

  1. After reviewing the details, click the Update button.

    If successful, the settings for the selected brand are updated.

Important Notes

Storage size of video file (direct upload)

Uploading many large video files by direct upload may exceed your contracted storage limit (50 GB).

If the limit is exceeded, additional costs will be incurred (500 yen/month per 10GB for 50GB or more).

Image quality and size

Use images at the recommended size.

Using images that do not match the recommended size may affect performance, including image quality and display speed.
