Create a Lookbook

Overview​

This section explains the steps to create a new lookbook.

Purpose​

By creating a lookbook, you can centrally manage the visuals of your brand and products, and use them to transmit information and appeal to buyers.

The created lookbook can be used in multiple application destinations such as catalogs and order links, and can be used as a foundation for information utilization that contributes to sales.

By managing the lookbook as a master, you can manage and unify information on a brand-by-brand basis.

Feature Description​

What is a lookbook?​

A lookbook is a gallery feature that displays images of brands and products, shares concepts and worldviews with buyers, and highlights the appeal of the products.

Each image can be linked to related products (item credits).

Lookbook application destinations​

Lookbooks can be created as a master and used in the following application destinations:

  • Brand
  • Catalog
  • Instant Order Link
  • Dynamic Brand Link
  • Customer Order Link

Mandatory items when creating​

The following items are mandatory for creating a lookbook:

  • Name
  • Status
  • Image

Status and publication conditions​

You can specify the lookbook status from the following two types:

  • Public: Publishes the lookbook and displays it to buyers.
  • Draft: Saves the lookbook as a draft. It will not be published to buyers.

Image file restrictions​

The image data used for lookbooks has the following restrictions:

  • Maximum uploadable file size: Within 3MB
  • Recommended file size: Within 300KB
  • Uploadable file formats: jpeg, png, webp, gif
  • Aspect ratio: 2:3 (Portrait), 3:2 (Landscape)

The system behavior depending on the file size is as follows:

  • Files exceeding 3MB: Cannot be uploaded.
  • Files exceeding 300KB: Upload is possible, but a warning will be displayed.

Instructions​

Open the lookbook creation screen​

  1. Click the Brand menu.
  2. Click Create a New Lookbook.
    Transitions to the "Create a New Lookbook" page.

How to fill out the form​

  1. Lookbook Name
    Enter the name of the lookbook.

    • Enter for each language enabled in "Maker Settings > Core Preferences".
    • If the Copy checkbox is enabled, the text will be copied from the standard language.

  2. Status
    Select either Public or Draft from the pull-down menu.

  3. Image
    Click the Select an Image button to upload images and select the images to be set in the lookbook.

  4. Related Products
    By clicking Select Products for each image, you can select products (item credits) related to the target image.

    Selected related products can be rearranged by drag and drop.

Image upload/selection steps​

This explains the steps for uploading and selecting images to be set in the lookbook.
It is explained in the following two cases:

  • When uploading and registering new images to DEXTRE
  • When using images already uploaded to DEXTRE

When uploading and registering new images to DEXTRE:

  1. Click the Select an Image button.
    The "Select a Lookbook Image" modal opens.

  2. Click Upload an Image to switch the display.

  3. Click the Select File button and select the image to upload.
    It is also possible to add by drag and drop.

    • The maximum file size for images is up to 3MB.
      Image files exceeding 3MB cannot be uploaded.
    • The recommended file size is up to 300KB.
      If an image exceeding 300KB is selected, upload itself is possible, but a warning will be displayed.
    • Uploadable file formats are jpeg, png, webp, and gif.
    • Aspect ratios are 2:3 (Portrait) and 3:2 (Landscape).

  4. Batch specification of image size ratio
    Use this when you want to batch change the aspect ratio (orientation) of the images to be uploaded.

    Select either Portrait orientation or Landscape orientation from the pull-down menu.
    By clicking Apply All, you can batch change the aspect ratio of all images.

  5. Upload image list
    Displays thumbnails of images to be uploaded side by side.
    The following operations are possible for each image:

    • You can control the upload order by rearranging them with drag and drop.
    • You can individually change the aspect ratio (orientation) of the image from the pull-down menu.
    • Click the trash can icon to exclude it from the upload image list.

  6. Execute upload
    When the settings for the image upload order are complete, click the Upload button.
    At the same time the upload is complete, the images to be set in the lookbook are selected.

When using images already uploaded to DEXTRE:

  1. Click the Select an Image button.
    The "Select a Lookbook Image" modal opens.

  2. Confirm that Select an Image is open.
    *Displayed by default.

  3. Click and select the image to use from the image list.
    Images in the selected state will have a blue border.
    Images are added to the lookbook in the order they were selected. They can be rearranged later by drag and drop.

    If the number of images displayed is large, click the Next button to display the next page.

    tip

    Utilizing the "Search" and "Sort" of images makes it easier to find the desired image.

    • Search Image: You can search for lookbook images saved in the brand's media storage by "Keyword" or "Created date".
    • Sort by created date: When searching by a specified created date, you can rearrange the image list by specifying Ascending/Descending.

    After specifying the search criteria, click the Search button to display the search results.
    To reset the search criteria, click the Reset button.

  4. Execute selection
    When the image selection is complete, click the Select button.
    The images to be set in the lookbook are selected.

Related product selection steps​

You can select products (item credits) related to the specified image using the following steps:

  1. Click Select Products for the image you want to set related products for.
    The "Select Product" modal opens.

  2. Check the target products from the list of products.

    • Multiple products can be selected.
    • To select all products that match the search criteria, click Select All.
    • You can narrow down products by entering criteria in Search Products.

  3. Execute selection
    When the selection of products is complete, click the Select button.
    The products related to the image are selected.

Create a Lookbook​

After confirming the contents, click the Create button.

If the process is successful, a lookbook will be created.
If creation fails, please check the error details and try again.

Important Notes​

Image file restrictions and warnings​

The maximum uploadable file size is limited to 3MB, and files exceeding 3MB cannot be uploaded.

For images exceeding the recommended size of 300KB, upload is possible, but a warning will be displayed by the system.

From the perspective of display quality and performance, uploading within the recommended size is recommended as much as possible.

If it is not set to published status, it will not be displayed to buyers​

The lookbook will be displayed to buyers only after it is set to the Public status.

When creating as a Draft, please change to the Public status at the necessary timing.
