Configure Shipping Fees Included in the Order Amount

Overview

This feature allows you to set shipping fee rate groups for catalogs or various links, reflecting the shipping fee in the total order amount when a buyer creates an order.

For each currency, you can configure Country Specific Rule Sets and Default Rule Sets.

Purpose

By pre-configuring the shipping fee rules to be applied at the time of order, shipping fees can be reflected in the order amount under the same conditions, regardless of the judgment of each person in charge.

Managing the rate groups applied to each catalog or link standardizes the shipping fee calculation process during order creation, making it easier to prevent business operations from becoming dependent on specific individuals.

Feature Description

Prerequisites for shipping fee settings

To use shipping fee settings, you must first create shipping fee Rate Groups and the Rates used within those rate groups as masters.

Please refer to the following operation manuals for details. They explain how to create rate groups and rates.

Targets to which shipping fee settings can be applied

Shipping fee rate groups can be configured for the following targets:

  • Catalogs
  • Instant Order Links
  • Dynamic Brand Links
  • Customer Order Links

Shipping fees set in the catalog are also applied to proxy orders.

Rule Sets per currency

In the shipping fee settings, you can specify Country Specific Rule Sets and Default Rule Sets for each currency.

  • Country Specific Rule Sets:
    • One rate group can be enabled per country.
    • If the application conditions for a Country Specific Rule Set are met, it takes precedence over the Default Rule Set.
  • Default Rule Sets:
    • One rate group can be enabled.
    • Default is a setting that targets all countries.
    • For orders that do not meet the shipping fee application conditions in the Country Specific Rule Set, the conditions of the rate group specified as the default will be applied.

Currencies enabled in the maker's core preferences can be used as options.

For details, please refer to Core Preferences.
It explains the currency settings for the maker environment.

Priority of shipping fee settings between links and catalogs

For various links, if all rate groups are disabled, the shipping fee settings of the Catalogs are referenced.

Even if shipping fee settings are disabled on the link side, if a valid rate group is set on the catalog side, shipping fees will be calculated at the time of order.

Handling of orders where shipping fees are not applied

Orders that do not meet the shipping fee application conditions in either the Country Specific Rule Set or the Default Rule Set are treated as Free Shipping.

However, you can add shipping fees after the order has been created.
