Create a Buyer Custom Attribute

Overview

You can create buyer custom attributes.

You can provide your own attribute definition, which does not exist in the standard DEXTRE fields, as a common additional field for all buyer information.

Purpose

The buyer custom attribute feature is used to centrally manage buyer information with fields that follow internal rules. By defining the attribute name, you can register the corresponding value for each individual buyer.

Also, by defining common attribute fields in advance, the rules for entering and operating buyer information are aligned, leading to the standardization of operations and the prevention of personalization.

Feature Description

What is a buyer custom attribute

A buyer custom attribute is a feature to create a field for registering arbitrary data to buyer information using a combination of an attribute name and a value.

One attribute name (field name) is created as a management unit and is provided as a common additional field for all buyer information.

For the created attribute, you can register the corresponding value for each individual buyer.

Main usage examples:

  • Cut Off Date
  • Payment cycle

Attribute code and identifier

The attribute code serves as an identifier in the system. You cannot use the same character string as the existing attribute code across all buyer, product, and catalog custom attributes.

Show in Search Form for buyers

You can set whether to show the buyer custom attribute as a filter item in the buyer search form within the maker app.

The buyer search form is used not only to search for buyers themselves but also to search for document data such as orders and delivery notes.

Instructions

Navigate to the buyer custom attribute creation screen

  1. Click the Buyers menu.
  2. Click the Buyer Custom Attributes button.
You will be redirected to the "Custom Attribute Settings" page.
  3. Click the Create a New Attribute button.
The "Create a New Custom Attribute" modal will open.

How to enter the form

  1. Attribute Code
Enter the character string that will be the system identifier.

Please enter a value that does not duplicate within all buyer, product, and catalog custom attributes.

  2. Attribute Name
Enter the name (field name) of the custom attribute. It will be used as the display name.

Example: Cut Off Date, payment cycle, etc.

  3. Show in Search Form
You can set whether or not to show it as a filter item in the buyer search form of the maker app.

    • To show: Check the Use this attribute in the Search Form. checkbox.
    • To hide: Uncheck the Use this attribute in the Search Form. checkbox.

Create the Buyer Custom Attribute

After confirming the details, click the Create button.

If the process is successful, the buyer custom attribute will be created with the entered details and added to the list.
If the process fails, an error will be displayed. Please check the details and correct them.

Important Notes

Multilingual expression is not supported

For custom attributes, it is possible to register only a single attribute name.
Please note that multilingual expression is not supported.

Similarly, it is not possible to register different values for each language for buyer information.
It is necessary to devise ways such as registering in one language or registering separated by slashes like "Japanese/English".

Troubleshooting

Duplicate code error

The Code of the custom attribute must be a value that does not duplicate within all the following custom attributes.

  • Buyer
  • Product
  • Catalog

If a duplicate exists, an error will occur at the time of creation.

If a duplicate is not found in the buyer custom attributes, please check whether it is used in custom attributes of other classifications, such as for products and catalogs.
