Edit a Buyer Custom Attribute

Overview

You can edit created Buyer Custom Attributes and update the contents of the attribute definition.

Purpose

The edit feature for Buyer Custom Attributes is used to review attribute definitions already created and in use, and to keep the additional items common to Buyer Info up to date.

By continuously maintaining the framework of Value registered for each Buyer, it helps centralized management of Buyer Info.

In addition, by adjusting the items displayed in the Buyer Search Form, you can maintain a state where it is easy to filter Buyers by necessary conditions.

Feature Description

What are Buyer Custom Attributes?

Buyer Custom Attributes are a feature to create items for registering arbitrary data to Buyer Info with a combination of "Attribute Name" and "Value".

"Attribute Name (item name)" is created as one management unit and provided as a common additional item for all Buyer Info.

For the created Attribute, you can register the corresponding "Value" for each individual Buyer.

Attribute Code and Identifier

"Attribute Code" serves as an identifier on the system.

Duplicate codes cannot be registered among all Custom Attributes for Buyers, Products, and Catalogs.

Display in Buyer Search Form

Buyer Custom Attributes can be configured whether to be displayed as filter items in the "Buyer Search Form" within the Maker App.

The Buyer Search Form is used not only to search for the Buyer itself but also to search document data such as Orders and Delivery Invoices.

Instructions

Navigation to Buyer Custom Attributes Edit Screen

  1. Click the Buyers menu.
  2. Click the Buyer Custom Attributes button.
    You will navigate to the "Custom Attribute Settings" page.
  3. Click the Edit button of the Buyer Custom Attributes you want to edit.
    The "Custom Attribute Editing" modal opens.

How to input the form

Edit the input items as necessary.

  1. Attribute Code
    Enter a string to be the system identifier.

    Please enter a Value that does not duplicate among all Custom Attributes for Buyers, Products, and Catalogs.

  2. Attribute Name
    Enter the name (item name) of the Custom Attribute. It is used as the Display Name.

    Example: Cut Off Date, payment cycle, etc.

  3. Show in Search Form
    You can configure whether to display it as a filter item in the "Buyer Search Form" of the Maker App.

    • To show: Check the checkbox for Use this attribute in the Search Form.
    • To hide: Uncheck the checkbox for Use this attribute in the Search Form.

Updating Buyer Custom Attributes

Check the contents and click the Update button.

If successful, the Buyer Custom Attributes will be updated with the entered contents.
If the process fails, an Error will be displayed. Check the contents and correct them.

Important Notes

Attribute Code cannot be duplicated

"Attribute Code" is used as an identifier on the system.

Duplicate Value cannot be set among all Custom Attributes for Buyers, Products, and Catalogs.

When changing the Attribute Code, confirm that it is not used in Custom Attributes of other categories before updating.
