Configure Consignment Transaction Terms for Buyers (Partner Inventory)

Overview​

This feature allows you to set transaction terms for consignment sales for buyers, separately from the regular Transaction Terms.

Purpose​

The purpose of the feature for setting transaction terms for consignment sales is to clarify the rules when operating different transaction terms for regular transactions and consignment sales, with the primary goals of standardizing operations and preventing reliance on individual judgment.

By intentionally enabling and specifying dedicated transaction terms, it also serves to reduce errors such as confusing them with regular transaction terms.

Feature Description​

What are Transaction Terms for Consignment Sales?​

This feature allows you to set dedicated transaction terms for consignment sales for each buyer, separately from their regular Transaction Terms.

The set transaction terms for consignment sales are applied at the following timings:

  • When an order is created from a catalog for consignment sales reporting.
  • When a Delivery Note is created using Partner Inventory as the Data Source.

Available Environment​

This feature is only available in brand environments where the Partner Inventory feature is enabled.

Two Configuration Paths​

Transaction terms for consignment sales can be set via the following two paths:

Default Setting Status​

By default, the transaction terms for consignment sales for each buyer are disabled.

By intentionally enabling it, you will be able to specify the dedicated transaction terms.

Instructions​

Setting via Bulk Update Buyers (Quick Edit)​

Navigating to the Bulk Update Buyers (Quick Edit) Screen​

  1. Click the Buyers menu.

  2. Click the Connected Buyers tab.
    *It is open by default.

  3. Search Buyers
    You can search for buyers by filtering through each item.

  4. Select the target buyers.

    • Select the target buyers from the buyer list by checking their checkboxes.
    • You can select multiple buyers.
    • To select all buyers that match the search criteria, click Select All.
    • To uncheck all, click Remove All Selections.

  5. Click the Bulk action dropdown.

  6. Click Quick Edit.
    The "Edit Buyers" modal will open.

How to Fill Out the Form​

Set the transaction terms for consignment sales for each buyer one by one.

  1. Sales Agent Transaction Term
    Specify whether to set the transaction terms for consignment sales or not using the toggle button.

    • Enable: Sets the transaction terms for consignment sales for the relevant buyer. Along with this, set the transaction terms and the Ratio or Percent off.
    • Disable: Does not set the transaction terms for consignment sales for the relevant buyer.

  2. Selecting Transaction Terms
    Set this when Sales Agent Transaction Term is set to Enable.

    Select the transaction terms from the dropdown.

  3. Ratio or Percent off
    Set this when Sales Agent Transaction Term is set to Enable.

    Enter the ratio or discount rate within the range of 0 to 100%.

Bulk Updating Transaction Terms for Consignment Sales for Target Buyers​

After confirming the entries, click Update to save.

Upon successful processing, the transaction terms for consignment sales will be set for the buyers in bulk.

Setting via Individual Buyer Edit​

Navigating to the Buyer Edit Screen​

  1. Select the Buyers menu.
  2. Click the Connected Buyers tab.
    *It is open by default.
  3. Enter criteria in Search Buyers to filter the buyers.
  4. Click the Edit button for the target buyer.
    The "Edit a Buyer" modal will open.

How to Fill Out the Form​

Set the transaction terms for consignment sales for the buyer.

  1. Transaction Terms and Conditions for Sales Agent
    Specify whether to set the transaction terms for consignment sales or not using the toggle button.

    • Enable: Sets the transaction terms for consignment sales for the relevant buyer. Along with this, set the transaction terms and the Ratio or Percent off.
    • Disable: Does not set the transaction terms for consignment sales for the relevant buyer.

  2. Selecting Transaction Terms
    Set this when Transaction Terms and Conditions for Sales Agent is set to Enable.

    Select the transaction terms from the dropdown.

  3. Ratio or Percent off
    Set this when Transaction Terms and Conditions for Sales Agent is set to Enable.

    Enter the ratio or discount rate within the range of 0 to 100%.

Updating Transaction Terms for Consignment Sales for the Target Buyer​

After confirming the entries, click the Update button to save.

Upon successful processing, the transaction terms for consignment sales will be set for the buyer.

Important Notes​

Beware of Confusion with Regular Transaction Terms​

Transaction terms for consignment sales are a separate item from the regular Transaction Terms.

Please be careful not to update the regular Transaction Terms by mistake.
