Create an Online Payment Link for an Invoice (Stripe Integration)

Overview​

This section explains the procedure for creating an online payment link based on an invoice and accepting online payments via credit card from a buyer through the payment link URL.

Purpose​

The primary purpose of online payment link creation is to issue a payment URL for each invoice and make it possible to complete the payment request simply by sharing it via email or other means.

Because the operation can be performed with a clear understanding of the target invoice and current payment status, it becomes easier to prevent misunderstandings or erroneous operations regarding whether a link needs to be created.

Feature Description​

What you can do with online payment links​

You can create an online payment link for each invoice.

By sharing the created payment link URL, you can accept online payments via credit card from buyers.

Invoices eligible for creation​

Online payment links can be created for invoices that meet all of the following conditions:

  • Invoices for which an online payment link has not yet been created
  • Invoices where the billing amount is greater than 0

Status after creation​

Online payment links have the following statuses depending on the payment situation:

  • Not Created: The state where a payment link has not been created
  • Pending Payment: The state where a payment link has been created and is awaiting payment from the buyer
  • Paid: The state where the payment procedure by the buyer has been completed

When the online payment link status becomes Paid, you can confirm that the target invoice has been paid.

Instructions​

Navigating to the invoice details screen​

  1. Click Transactions menu > Billing Management.
  2. Open the Billing Invoices tab.
    *It is open by default.
  3. Click the Details button for the invoice for which you want to create an online payment link.
    You will be transitioned to the "Billing Invoice Details" page.

Creating an online payment link​

  1. Confirm that the Online Payment Link status is Not Created.

  2. Click Create Payment Link.

    Upon successful processing, an online payment link will be created.

For the created online payment link, you can copy the URL using Copy Link URL.

Important Notes​

Prerequisites for use​

To use this feature, you must have a contract for the Stripe Credit Card Payment Add-on.

Payment methods available via the payment link URL​

The only payment method available via the payment link URL is credit card payment.

Cancellation of created payment link URLs​

Once a payment link URL has been created, it cannot be deleted or cancelled.
