Edit Tags

Overview

You can edit created tags and update them to a new state.

Purpose

The tag editing feature is used for the following purposes.

  • Correction of typos and naming: Corrects naming errors or notation inconsistencies found after creation.
  • Improvement of Display Name (Public Tag): Adjusts multilingual display names to be easily understandable for users.
  • Update of description/overview: Reflects changes in usage policies or application scope.
  • Review of Tag Color: Updates the color for readability or to match the brand tone.

What is a Tag?

Tags are masters used to label various data such as Customer Buyers, Catalogs, and Orders.

Tags are not used alone, but can be utilized by applying them to data corresponding to the Target Data Type of the created tag.
Data associated with tags can be found using Search Tags.

Target Data Types for Tags

Tags are created for each of the following *arget Data Types.

  • Customer Buyer
  • Catalog
  • Order
  • Delivery Invoice
  • Goods Return Note
  • Billing Invoice
  • Credit Note
  • Payment Confirmation

Control Tags and Public Tags

Tags exist as "Control Tags" and "Public Tags".

  • Control Tag: Not visible to buyers. For internal classification and operational notes.
  • Public Tag: Visible to buyers. Used primarily for searching and filtering buyer-facing content (e.g. catalogs) and displayed as badges.

Currently, the only "Public Tag" that can be created is "Target Data Type: Catalog".
For all other Target Data Type, only "Control Tag" can be created.

Constraints when Editing Tags

In the tag editing function, Target Data Type cannot be changed to maintain data integrity.

Instructions

There are mainly two types of Tags.
Since the editing method differs depending on the Tag Type, please check the procedure according to the target tag.

  • Control Tag: Not visible to buyers. For internal classification and operational notes.
  • Public Tag: Visible to buyers. Used primarily for searching and filtering buyer-facing content (e.g. catalogs) and displayed as badges.

The editing procedures for each are explained below.

Move to Tag Update Page

  1. Click the Settings menu.
  2. Click the Tag Management button in General Settings.
    You will be redirected to the Tag Management page.
  3. Click the Edit button of the target tag.
    The Update Tag modal opens.

Editing Control Tags

Describes the procedure for editing Control Tag for internal management.

To maintain data integrity, Target Data Type cannot be changed.

  1. Tag Type (Required)
    Select Control Tag.

    *Only "Target Data Type: Catalog" can be changed to Public Tag.
    Please refer to Editing Public Tags for how to edit Public Tags.
    It explains the procedure for editing Public Tags.

  2. Tag Code (Required)
    Enter an arbitrary string. It becomes a system identifier.

    Please enter a unique string that does not duplicate with other tags. If it duplicates, an error will occur upon update.

  3. Tag Name (Required)
    Enter the tag name. It is also used as the display name.

  4. Description (Optional)
    Enter an arbitrary description. You can register the purpose of the tag as a note.

  5. Tag Color (Optional)
    By enabling the Set Color toggle button, you can specify the tag display color.

    • Enable toggle button: Please specify an arbitrary color from the color picker.
    • Disable toggle button: The display color of the tag is not set.
  6. Update
    When settings for each step are completed, click the Update button.

    If the process is successful, the tag will be updated with the edited content.
    If the process fails, an error is displayed. Please correct the input content according to the error details.

Editing Public Tags

Describes the procedure for editing Public Tags for buyers.

  1. Tag Type (Required)
    Select Public Tag.

    Please refer to Editing Control Tags for how to edit Control Tags.
    It explains the procedure for editing Control Tags.

  2. Tag Code (Required)
    Enter an arbitrary string. It becomes a system identifier.

    Please enter a unique string that does not duplicate with other tags. If it duplicates, an error will occur upon update.

  3. Tag Name (Required)
    Enter the tag name. It is not used for the display name.

  4. Tag Display Name (Public Tag) (Required)
    Enter the display name by language.
    It is used as the display name, and the tag display name automatically switches according to the user's language settings.
    Inputtable languages depend on the languages enabled in "Maker Settings > Core Preferences".

    If you enable the Copy checkbox, the display name of the primary language is copied to the checked language.

  5. Description (Optional)
    Enter an arbitrary description. You can register the purpose of the tag as a note.

  6. Tag Color (Optional)
    By enabling the Set Color toggle button, you can specify the tag display color.

    • Enable toggle button: Please specify an arbitrary color from the color picker.
    • Disable toggle button: The display color of the tag is not set.
  7. Update
    When settings for each step are completed, click the Update button.

    If the process is successful, the tag will be updated with the edited content.
    If the process fails, an error is displayed. Please correct the input content according to the error details.

Important Notes

Tag codes must be unique strings

The tag code must be a unique string.
If the tag code conflicts with another tag, an error will occur upon creation.
