Subscribe to and Enable the Stripe Credit Card Payment Integration Add-on

Overview​

This manual explains the procedure to subscribe to and enable the Stripe credit card payment add-on in the Merchant App.

Purpose​

Subscribing to and enabling the Stripe credit card payment add-on is done to start using the Stripe payment integration while satisfying the necessary reviews, publication conditions, and permission conditions, and to operate it according to internal rules.

By proceeding with the procedure after checking the contract conditions and payment methods, you can enable the credit card payment integration feature of DEXTRE under controlled conditions.

Feature Description​

What is Subscribing and Enabling the Stripe Credit Card Payment Integration Add-on​

This is a feature to create an add-on subscription to make the Stripe credit card payment add-on available in DEXTRE.

Prerequisites for Subscription and Enablement​

To subscribe to and enable the add-on, all of the following conditions must be met.

  • The Stripe application process is complete
  • The Charges feature of the connected Stripe account is enabled
  • The Payouts feature of the connected Stripe account is enabled
  • The Act on Specified Commercial Transactions is published
  • The Stripe payment integration add-on is not subscribed

Contract Plans and Payment Methods​

The Stripe Credit Card Payment Add-on is a paid plan at 5,000 JPY (excluding tax) per month.

The payment methods available at the time of contract are the payment methods configured in the Add-on Subscription.

Permissions of Members Who Can Proceed​

Only members with Primary Owner or Owner permissions can complete the contract procedure.

Instructions​

Open the Add-on Subscription Creation Screen​

  1. Click Maker Settings > Open Maker Settings.
  2. Click Payment Feature.
  3. Click the Activate Add-on button.
    The "Create Add-on Subscription" modal will open.

How to Fill Out the Form​

  1. Contract plan and billing conditions
    Confirm the fee and billing conditions for the Stripe Credit Card Payment Feature Paid Plan.

  2. Selection of Payment Method
    The Current Payment Method displays the currently set payment method. If not set, Not Set is displayed.

    • If the payment method is not set, click the Set up payment method button to set it.
    • If you want to use a payment method other than the "Current Payment Method", click the Edit button to change the payment method.

  3. Click Next to open the preview screen.

    The next step is Confirm Contract and Enablement.

Procedure to set or change the payment method​

If the Current Payment Method is not set, click the Set up payment method button.

If you want to change the payment method, click the Edit button.

In either case, the "Update Merchant Billing Information" modal opens.

  1. Select a payment method
    Select one of the following payment methods using a radio button.

    • Bank Transfer
    • Credit Card
      • If the desired credit card is already registered: Select the credit card to use.
      • If the desired credit card is not registered:
        Select "Set a New Credit Card" and register the credit card.

  2. Click the Update button to apply the selected payment method.

    After the update is complete, the "Update Merchant Billing Information" modal closes and the contract screen opens.

Credit Card Registration Procedure​

If the credit card you want to use as a payment method is not registered, please register it using the following steps.

  1. In Procedure to set or change the payment method, select the Set a New Credit Card radio button.

  2. Enter the credit card information.

    • Credit Card: Enter the 16-digit card number.
    • Expiration: Enter the expiration date in the MM/YY format.
    • CVC: Enter the 3-4 digit security code listed on the credit card.

  3. After entering the information, click the Register button. The credit card is registered.

Confirm Contract and Enablement​

Review the preview details and click the Create Add-on Subscription button.

If the process is successful, the add-on subscription for the Stripe credit card payment add-on will be created and become available.

Important Notes​

Cannot contract or activate if the prerequisites are not met​

If any of the Prerequisites for Subscription and Enablement is not met, you cannot contract or activate the add-on.

On the Payment Feature screen, under "Subscription", you can check the Stripe integration status and whether the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions is configured.

Regarding billing timing and the fee for the start month​

The usage fee for the Stripe Credit Card Payment Add-on is calculated on a pro-rata basis only for the start month.

The start-month fee is prorated from the start date through the end of the month and billed immediately when the contract is made. From the following month onward, the monthly fee is billed at the beginning of each month.

Payment methods for the Add-on Subscription cannot be set individually​

The payment method can be changed at the time of contract, but it cannot be configured individually for each add-on.

One payment method is configured for the entire contract classified as Add-on Subscription.
